Mr. Wang received his MIA from Columbia University in 1987. From 1987 to 1988, Mr. Wang was Economist at the Research Department of the New York Stock Exchange.Mr. Wang was a leading participant to the initial formation of China’s capital market. From 1989 to 1992, Mr. Wang played an active role in establishing the stock exchanges in Shanghai and Shenzhen, as well as in the first underwriting syndicate of Chinese government bonds. In 1992, Mr. Wang was instrumental in setting up the first investment fund listed in China. Mr. Wang was named a Global Leader for Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum in 1996.
Founding Director General of Center for China & Globalization (CCG) and China Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA) Policy Advisory Committee. He is the Vice Chairman of WRSA, the largest Chinese overseas returned scholars’ organization in China with over 50,000 members. He is also the Founding Chairman of WRSA Chamber of Commerce and WRSA 2005 Committee. In addition, he is Vice Chairman of China International Economic Cooperation Society under Ministry of Commerce. Mr. Wang is well known for his initiatives and leadership for social organizations and think tanks in recent years. He has been an advisor to the Chinese government, established enterprises and institutions in China. Mr. Wang used to work in MOFTEC (now Ministry of Commerce) in China. In North America, he worked as Director--Asia for SNC-Lavalin and later became Vice President of Agra Int’l Group (now AMEC Group), both are among the largest engineering and project management firms in the world. He was also appointed as Chief Trade Counselor at Commission of Canada in Hong Kong for Quebec Government Affairs. He also served as a senior China business adviser to GE, Siemens, ABB, Alstom, Westinghouse and Mitsubishi and so on.
Mr. Wang obtained his BA degree in China and his MBA degree in Canada and continued to pursue his Ph.D. studies at the Ivey Business School of University of Western Ontario and undertook further training at Manchester and Harvard Business Schools. He is a visiting professor of several well known business schools such as Ivey School of Business of University of Western Ontario of Canada and Guanghua Management School of Peking University of China. He is an invited researcher at International Cooperation Center under China State Development and Reform Commission. Mr. Wang has published 20 books and over 50 articles and papers on the international business management and Chinese global talent issues, including his recent books on Chinese talents movements, such asReturning Times>,Contemporary Chinese Returnees>, and .

Before Mr. Tian founded CBC Capital, he was the Vice Chairman and CEO of China Netcom Group from 1999 to 2006. From 1994 to 1999, Mr. Tian was the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of AsiaInfo Holding Inc., the first Internet technology provider in China.
