Introduction of 2005 Committee

After China′s opening up to the outside world, nearly one million Chinese students went abroad to study, among whom a large part have returned to China. Since the 21st century, the number of overseas trained Chinese students and scholars returning to China is sharply increasing. Their wide range of activities covers business, economy and other domains and constitutes an enormous talent pool for China, and thus they have become an important social force in China′s rapid economic development.
  In order to take full advantage of their international perspective and their roles as a bridge between China and outside world, especially for their collective wisdom to make them an important think tank for China, on November 20, 2005, a group of outstanding Chinese returnees came together and launched 2005 Committee of China Western Returned Scholars Association Chamber of Commerce (WRSACC) in Beijing.
  The 2005 Committee is the WRSACC affiliated organization which is formed voluntarily by a group of Chinese overseas trained returnees who are active in business and other economic related activities in China. It is also an organization for exchanges and collective ideas.The 2005 Committee was initiated by WRSACC Chairman Wang Huiyao, WRSACC Vice Chairman Tian Suning and also sponsored by  Wang Boming, Tang Min, Li Shan, Wang Weijia, Zhao Min and others as well.
  The 2005 Committee′s Function and Mission:(1) To organize high quality seminars and forums and carry out researches for China′s progress and development, to provide strategic and feasible as well as timely advice and suggestions, and to promote their implementation; (2) To establish friendly and cooperative relations with governmental agencies, international organizations, foreign and domestic enterprises, academic and research institutions and others and make it an important bridge and link among them; (3) To become an exchange and liaison platform for Chinese oversea  trained returneers, as well as to safeguard their rights and interests.
  The 2005 Committee of WRSACC strives to become the most influential organization for Chinese returnees trained overseas, to become a high level think tank for China, Chinese society and enterprises  and to become a model NGO in China.
